New Organic Ventures Announces Hiring of Vice President - Operations

LAKE WORTH, FL – April 15, 2008 –  New Organic Ventures, a Lake Worth, Florida-based angel investment firm founded by Jethren Phillips (Founder and former Chairman and President/CEO of Spectrum Organic Products) and Robert Craven (previous President & CEO of Garden of Life) announced the hiring of Craig Kennedy as Vice President, Operations.

Craig Kennedy is an experienced leader with an extensive background in value creation, strategic planning, operations & supply chain management, process improvement, and leadership of dramatic business change. 

Kennedy has worked with GE and Johnson and Johnson, where he held a variety of management positions in operations, manufacturing, distribution, customer service, marketing, R&D, business development, business integration and supply chain management.  He has led critical company initiatives including several successful ERP implementations, major business integrations, and acquisitions.  Kennedy has designed and built world-class manufacturing and distribution facilities. He has also developed world-class teams focused on continuous improvement utilizing Six Sigma and Lean principals.

Mr. Kennedy will oversee all operational aspects of New Organic Ventures’ companies including supply chain and facilities management, manufacturing, fulfillment, ERP development & oversight and quality control. He will also be a key member of the leadership team, helping to establish and direct business best-practice initiatives and develop strategic direction.
