Romer Labs® Introduces New AgraStrip® Quantitative DON Test Kit and AgraStrip® XReader

PRESS RELEASE (June 09, 2009): Romer Labs® introduces new AgraStrip® quantitative DON Test Kit and AgraStrip® XReader: The fastest quantitative DON Strip Test Kit on the market Romer Labs® highlights its expertise in food and feed safety analysis and proudly introduces an exciting new technology platform and the first product for this new technology.

The AgraStrip® XReader is a sensitive, easy-to use laboratory instrument which measures the reflection or optical density of the test line on the AgraStrip® Lateral Flow Devices (LFDs). It gives fast quantitative test results with Romer Labs® quantitative AgraStrip® LFDs. With the quantitative AgraStrip® DON Test Kit, Romer Labs® launches its first quantitative LFD. The quantitation range is between 0.5 ppm and 5.0 ppm DON. Testing the 1:8 extract covers a test range from 0.5 to 1.25 ppm. A further 1:2 dilution of the extract covers 1 ppm - 2.5 ppm and a 1:4 dilution detects 2.0 ppm - 5.0 ppm. Each AgraStrip® DON Test Kit contains 24 test strips, 24 microwells coated with the antibody particle complex (conjugate), 16 blank microwells, 72 pipette tips, one microwell holder and one bottle of assay buffer.

4. Romer Labs® developed an innovative approach to make the total test time extremely fast. The AgraStrip® XReader is supplied with the AgraStrip® XDryer for heat drying the test strips. This reduces the drying time from 3 minutes to one minute and leads to very consistent results.
